The building involves a highly complex site and program. The siting of the building, plus its entrances, scale and configuration are designed to invigorate the life of the Hospital and its surrounding community. Currently in construction and scheduled for completion at the end of 2009, this facility will serve as a main entrance to the new Yale-New Haven Smilow Cancer Hospital and will serve a number of constituencies that include doctors, administrators, researchers and the general public. The building will achieve LEED Certification.
