St. Vincents HospitalSt. Vincent’s is responding its evolving community by means of a $140 million project that includes construction of a new wing, the expansion and modernization of Emergency Services, the enhancement of Oncology Services, and the reorganization of hospital space. 

St. Vincents HospitalThe 250,000 square foot project encompasses 125,000 square feet of new construction and renovation of 125,000 square feet of clinical spaces. A new, 630-car parking structure has also been added. The result will be a sophisticated, user-friendly model Medical Center for all residents of this region.

  • The new four-story pavilion will include:
    • Comprehensive Cancer Center featuring:
      - Women’s Imaging Center
      - Infusion Therapy Center
      - Integrative Oncology Center
      - Radiation Oncology Center that will more than double current capacity
    • Expanded and refurbished Emergency Department, with: 
      - 60 beds will replace the current 28
      - Footprint will triple to 40,000 square feet – a full acre of space
      - "Fast Track" Area
      - Pediatric Area
      - Behavioral Health and Psychiatric Area
      - Self-contained imaging/diagnostics
    • Education and Conference Center
  • Main Level reorganization includes:
    • New Main Lobby
    • New Chapel
    • Ambulatory Services
    • Cardiology/ Regional Heart and Vascular Center
    • Imaging Center reorganization and expansion

Site Utilities include a cogeneration plant, chilled water plant expansion, encompassing a steam absorption chiller, cooling towers and condenser water system expansion, as well as a chilled water systems distribution extension. Medium pressure steam, low pressure steam and condensate distribution piping systems, as well as new steam to hot water converters, pumps and hot water piping distribution are required to feed the new addition. New Emergency and Normal Power systems are required to service the new additions, including new normal and emergency feeders and substations and new automatic transfer switches. New central air systems were designed for the addition and renovations with supplemental cooling systems for the Imaging and Cancer treatment Equipment Control and Equipment spaces.
