This 120,000 SF expansion at Foxwoods Resort houses 800 slot machines, retail spaces, and a theme restaurant. had a construction cost of $37 million.

Mechanical and electrical systems for the two-story steel-framed casino expansion were designed to create an environment of total comfort for the casino’s guests and staff. The central heating and air conditioning system provides maximum comfort with minimum noise levels. Humidification and filtration are included for additional adjustability within the casino environment.

The atrium has been equipped with the most up-to-date and stringent provision for smoke evacuation. The fire protection systems for the new casino include a new fire department connection, in addition to seven wet sprinkler system alarm valves and a pre-action system for electrical and telecom rooms. The electrical system is capable of operating the entire casino addition seamlessly during power outages.
