Henri B. van Zelm Engineering Excellence – Brenda J. Wall, P.E.
The Henri B. van Zelm Excellence Award will be awarded annually to one employee chosen from among the firm’s technical disciplines, who best demonstrates a keen interest in his or her chosen specialty, advancing the field of engineering with outstanding design; actively supporting or participating in professional engineering organization; and applying technology in creative ways.

Outstanding Contribution – Bea C. Chipelo, Director of Finance, Associate
This Award will be given to the person who, by his/her actions, has had a measurable impact on the organization. The recipient’s contribution may include either technical or non-technical elements, or a combination of the two. The recipient will have had a positive impact on the Firm, and by their actions, this person will have set an example for the entire organization to embrace.

Richard J. Shadford, Jr. Leadership Excellence – Matthew H. Penrose
The Richard J. Shadford, Jr. Leadership Excellence Award will be given to the employee who best demonstrates the qualities embodied in the following definition of leadership. “Leadership is a function of knowing yourself, having a clear and worthy vision that is well communicated, building trust among colleagues and others who may follow, and taking effective action to realize your own leadership potential.”
