This 32,955 square-foot project reuses and adds to a vacant 1960s library to create a new administrative and social center for the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, and a community hub in the heart of Dartmouth’s siloed north campus quad. The project consists primarily of individual offices for a range of faculty and staff, but also includes some classrooms, conference rooms, study space, and a graduate lounge at the lower level. Designed for LEED Gold, Anonymous Hall emphasized energy efficiency, attempting to achieve 2030 energy performance in the renovated 1960s building. The Projected Energy Use Index (EUI)of Anonymous Hall after renovations was a very low 25 KBTU/sf/yr and this was further reduced to 9 KBTU/sf/yr once the solar panels were installed, resulting in a nearly net-zero building.

University of Connecticut, Science 1 Research Center, in Storrs, CT was designed by Payette. This new $160 million STEM Research Center, Science 1 is 198,000 gsf and consists of a program that includes research, teaching, administrative, service, and special use spaces.
