University of Connecticut, Connecticut Hall – Residence Hall & Dining

van Zelm provided mechanical and electrical engineering services for the new seven-story Residence Hall and Dining Hall project, a 250,000 GSF facility accommodating 657 beds in suite-style units, along with a 500-seat kitchen and dining area. The building also includes common spaces such as lounges, a game room, laundry, bike storage, mailroom, offices, seminar and meeting rooms, and multipurpose areas. Completed in July 2024, the project was delivered through a design-build arrangement with KBE Building Corporation and achieved LEED Gold certification.
