Hotchkiss School, Memorial Hall Renovation

van Zelm Engineers provided MEP design services for the major renovation of Memorial Hall, a four-story dormitory with a full basement. The project modernized 25,830 GSF of existing space and added a 12,000 GSF wing. Student and faculty housing was reconfigured with a new residence wing containing three faculty apartments, while the existing apartments within the original footprint were converted into additional student rooms. A fourth faculty apartment was added on the fourth floor of the main building. The renovation included significant upgrades and replacements of major building systems.
