van Zelm Engineers is a well-established mechanical and electrical consulting engineering firm headquartered in Farmington, CT with satellite offices in Massachusetts and North Carolina. We are devoted solely to the planning, study, and design of mechanical and electrical systems for the built environment, completing projects in excess of $700 Million in mechanical and electrical construction value each year. At van Zelm Heywood & Shadford, Inc., college students enrolled in a engineering program looking to gain experience in a professional setting are encouraged to apply. Interns will preform general tasks under the supervision of various project team members and occasionally preform specific tasks as requested.

Typically the summer months between the Spring and Fall Semester (May – August), with the potential opportunity to continue throughout the semester and/or breaks.
