Originally constructed in the 1920s, the Diogenes Dormitory at Avon Old Farms is the first of four dormitories to be renovated, each spanning approximately 15,000 sq ft. The dorm rooms, bathrooms, and first-floor classrooms all received upgrades as part of this project, as well as a full roof replacement. To create a greater sense of space, a new skylight and vaulted ceiling have been added to the 3rd-floor Foyer as well. The added Central ventilation system included a high degree of heat recovery, new Runtal-type radiation and controls. All new LED lighting, electrical power distribution, fire sprinkler system and fire alarm system were also installed.
