Norwalk High School

The planned construction of the new Norwalk High School will result in a combined 336,681 SF facility estimated at $239 million, to include a four-story high school and a three-story P-TECH Academy, located entirely along King Street. The complex will serve a total of 2,000 students, 500 of which will attend the expanded P-TECH Academy.

The new school building will be built as a single phase, with the remaining parking and sports facilities to be completed in multiple phases, during a 46-month schedule.  This approach will accommodate operations of the existing school, which is adjacent to the project site and will remain occupied during construction until its eventual demolition. The new high school will accommodate new and improved educational spaces and technologies, including new classroom/lab spaces, a gymnasium, kitchen/cafeteria, auditorium, natatorium, and parking.  The new Norwalk High School is slated for completion by February 2027.
