This new Science Center will truly be a landmark facility in terms of its architecture, building systems, and its fulfillment of academic and sustainable goals. The project scope includes a new science building with an area of approximately 180,000 gsf along with a 25,000 gsf renovation of Shanklin Hall. Hall-Atwater Hall will be maintained through construction and demolished after new construction and renovation is complete. The program will include research labs, teaching labs, classrooms, offices, vivarium, and support spaces for the departments of Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Science in Society and College of the Environment. Anticipated construction cost is approximately $180,000,000.
