Dartmouth Class of 1982 Engineering and Computer Science Center

Dartmouth College’s Center for Engineering and Computer Science building opened in the fall of 2021. Designed for LEED Platinum Certification, the $200 million, 160,000 SF energy-efficient project with its 340-space parking garage underneath the facility, is the largest construction project in Dartmouth’s history. The new building provides a physical connection to the MacLean Engineering Sciences Center and Cummings Hall. Highlights include an expansive, light-filled building with dedicated makerspaces, a design loft, and additional labs for hands-on projects. An integral part of Dartmouth’s technology and innovation hub, the new center will integrate experiential learning in engineering, computer science, and entrepreneurship in this facility – to be shared by the Thayer School of Engineering, the Department of Computer Science, and the Magnuson Center for Entrepreneurship. To continue and improve upon the Dartmouth’s tradition of high-performance buildings and landscapes, The Class of 1982 Engineering and Computer Science Center received LEED Platinum designation.
